Vigil History

The Order of the Vigil started long before me or my fellow warriors with whom I travel. In truth there have always been men who have stood up for what is true in the face adversity. There have always been men of God who have stood shoulder to shoulder and fought for the Kingdom when other men have disappeared into the wilderness, hiding behind their fears and doubts.

For other men the choice whether to stand and fight or relinquish has been less about fear and more about doubt. Doubt that they are called to the battle. Doubt that the battle exists the way they see the warriors describe it. Doubt that the enemy is in fact real and is waiting for an opportunity to kill and lay waste to the hard work of the life of a man who has been called out.

It is for these men who live in the land of doubt that we exist. We exist to confirm in our men and fellow warriors the existence of the battle. More importantly we exist to confirm in these men their calling, their identity, the truth of their existence, that they are created and appointed to live out their lives as warriors. No longer are we willing to stand aside and watch our bravest young men be confused about their purpose and identity. We stand with the scores of God's men who have come before us to rally God's men and state emphatically that we are in the service of the King and live to fulfill the purpose of his Kingdom.
